All our churches aim for children and young people to feel at home with us. The groups below seek to give children and young people a sense of belonging and help them know God’s love in Jesus Christ.
If you would like to know more about the children’s work and activities and events for young people -and Church services that are particularly family-focused please to not hesitate to talk to any of the churchwardens or clergy after our Sunday services.
Frequently asked questions...
Every Tuesday at 1.30 during term times there is a Bible Story, some songs and the Lord’s Prayer in the Playroom at St Peter’s Sible Hedingham. After the service the Mums have tea and biscuits and chat, and the preschoolers play and have activities.
Every holiday and half term there is a Holiday club for children with games, activities and crafts and a bible story. School age children can be left with the leaders, pre-schoolers are welcome but with a carer. In the summer and autumn sessions we use Molly’s Wood, a local 10 acre site where we have outdoor activities. The Summer camp is where we tell a big bible story and runs over three consecutive days.
It is always reassuring for teens to feel that they are not the only teen-ages Christians on the planet and we make a great effort to take them to major youth events happening during the year. There are occasional outings to youth services in churches nearby, but the major event is the summer camp at Soul Survivor. in 2017 this is at Peterborough show ground. We meet with other youth from the surrounding areas and a group of around 50 teenagers camp for a week (with supervision) and learn what it is to be a Christian in the 21st Century.
