Situated in the heart of historical Castle Hedingham, St Nicholas Church is a visionary and dynamic church where we work together to create a peaceful and welcoming environment for villagers through calm, friendly and spiritual guidance.

Protected as one of Essex County Council’s Historic Essex Towns, Castle Hedingham became the location for our church in 1180 when it was built by the De Vere family. Now Grade I listed, St Nicholas Church draws thousands of visitors from around then world.

Woven into the fabric of the Castle Hedingham community, St Nicholas Church is a stone’s throw from village shops in the centre of the village and a feature of every day life.
